Retirement Planner — find your retirement number

Retire Smart is a free, goal-based retirement planner for India, Australia, the USA, the UK and New Zealand. Enter your age, spending and savings to get your retirement number — the corpus you need on the day you retire — plus the monthly investment that closes the gap.

Unlike single-number calculators, Retire Smart plans per-goal buckets (living costs, travel, education, one-time events), each with its own timing and investment strategy, then simulates the full drawdown year by year so you can see whether the money lasts.

Every figure comes from one open calculation engine: inflation compounded from today, growing-annuity maths for recurring goals, and annuity-due withdrawals. No account needed to plan; accounts only save scenarios across devices.

Frequently asked questions

How much do I need to retire?

It depends on your spending, inflation, returns and lifespan. As a rule of thumb, take your annual spending in today’s money, grow it to retirement age at inflation, then divide the resulting yearly need by a safe withdrawal rate. The Quick Start tab does exactly this with your country’s defaults.

What is the 4% rule?

US research (the Trinity study) found a 4% first-year withdrawal, adjusted for inflation after, survived 30 years in most historical US market scenarios. Higher-inflation countries often use a lower rate — Retire Smart defaults India to 3.5%.

Does it work outside India?

Yes. Country defaults cover inflation, equity and debt returns, currencies (including lakh/crore formatting for INR), pension ages and safe withdrawal rates for India, Australia, the USA, the UK and New Zealand.

Do I need an account?

No. Planning is fully local-first. An account only saves named scenarios to the cloud, powers Global View across countries, and syncs devices.

Is this financial advice?

No. Retire Smart is an educational modelling tool. Projections depend on your assumptions and are not guaranteed. MoneybyAsh is not a licensed financial adviser in any jurisdiction.
